New Bus for Coventry City Football ClubCoventry manager Iain Dowie hopes he has the answer to the Sky Blues’ away day blues for next season – a new coach. Dowie and performance coach John Harbin have been in talks with travel firm Harry Shaw City Cruiser with respect to purchasing a new vehicle for the 2007/08 campaign. And the Binley-based company has ordered new state-of-the-art transport which will be used by the Club for its away matches. It means the current coach will go back to everyday use after nine years of transporting the team all over the country including the Club’s last three seasons in the Premiership. The hope is that the new bus will be help spark a turnaround in the away day fortunes although City ended the season on a high with a win at Burnley. The new 36-seat coach will be as luxurious as they come and will include leather upholstery, extra leg room, full cooking facilities and powerpoints for laptops and iPods. Harry Shaw City Cruiser, which has been the Club’s official coach company for more than 30 years, now has 26 vehicles in its fleet. And director John Shaw believes the Club’s current crop of players will feel the benefit of the new coach. He said:
